Action Needed: Add Your Voice to the MSBA’s Attorney Vaccine Priority Efforts

The MSBA continues to advocate for Maryland Attorneys and their access to vaccinations.

As previously communicated, the MSBA believes that all Marylanders should be vaccinated as quickly as possible.  We support the prioritization of the most vulnerable, front line workers, and national CDC Guidelines that direct states to vaccinate all attorneys in Phase 1C.  Surrounding jurisdictions are following these guidelines, and including all attorneys in the 1C priority group.  We believe Maryland should follow CDC guidelines, and include all attorneys in the 1C priority group, especially now as the Judiciary plans to further reopen courts and expand court operations. Vaccine priority for our profession is about protecting attorneys on the frontlines of justice, and the clients and communities we serve.

We are Stronger Together

The MSBA is already working with lawyer Legislators and Local & Specialty Bars to advocate on behalf of all attorneys in Maryland.  The message is clear, follow the CDC Guidelines and include all attorneys in Phase 1C of the vaccination rollout, as many face the same risks as judges, state’s attorneys, and public defenders, who are already included in Maryland’s priority plan.
