People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) relying on AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) to obtain their life-saving medications MUST receive equitable and timely access to medications relative to their insured counterparts, inclusive of long-acting injectable (LAIs) therapies and other newly approved medications by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). If traditional ADAP or HIV pharmacy programs cannot keep up with service delivery, formulary management, or technology, they MUST increase their insurance premium payment programs to meet demand while increasing cost efficiencies.
