Please ask your Senator to vote yes on SB1785.
SB1785 provides consistency between the Nurse Practice Act and the Medical Practice Act regarding the establishment of a written collaborative agreement between a physician and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has not met the requirements to be licensed as a Full Practice APRN ((225 ILCS 65/65-43).
SB 1785 allows physicians to enter into a written collaborative agreement if they can provide adequate collaboration instead of the physician being required to be in the same specialty of practice as the APRN.
SB 1785 aligns the Illinois Medical Practice Act with language in the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
Please vote ‘YES.’
