Support 21st Century Learning Centers and After School Time Programs!
October 26, 2023, is Lights on Afterschool (LOA) 2023! This is a nationwide celebration of afterschool programs and showcases their positive impact on communities. Afterschool programs benefit students in many ways by keeping them safe, increasing academic outcomes, and supporting their mental and physical health. Here at Metropolitan, we provide enriching programs for students outside of school hours as a 21st Century Community Learning Center.
On this LOA day, we would like to ask our legislators to continue supporting afterschool programming by visiting their local programs and advocating for legislation that increases the funding of these programs. This funding will allow our hardworking staff like you to continue to provide services to students, parents, and community members.
