340B ACCESS Act

The cost of healthcare is increasingly unaffordable for most Americans, who are saddled with medical debt. The 340B Drug Pricing Program is intended to help low-income patients access care and treatment, including by enabling hospitals to offer free or reduced-cost charity care. That isn't happening, and 340B savings are being used by healthcare providers for excessive executive compensation because the program lacks the necessary transparency and enforcement mechanisms to ensure that those funds are reinvested into care for the patients it was created to serve. The 340B ACCESS Act (H.R.5256) represents a real, course-correcting first step toward achieving those goals. ADAP Advocacy urges patient advocates and public policy stakeholders to express support for reforming the 340B Drug Pricing Program to better serve patients!
