Our communities deserve access to the ballot box. Congress must secure our right to vote by passing the Freedom to Vote Act. 

Whatever our color, background or zip code, in America we value our freedom. For months, the American people have been calling for national standards to protect our freedom to vote, ensure fair representation, and get big money out of politics. The House already passed sweeping legislation, to protect our freedom to vote and realize the promise of democracy for all. The announcement of a revised, transformative voting rights bill - the Freedom to Vote Act - is proof that our voices have power in the halls of the U.S. Senate.

The Freedom to Vote Act is a revised, transformative bill that will protect our freedom to vote, ensure fair representation in government, and end the dominance of big money in politics. It will help bring down the barriers erected to silence Black, Indigenous, young and new Americans and ensure an equal voice in the decisions that impact our lives.

The Senate must act to amend the filibuster in order to pass this vital voting rights legislation. Our representatives should be able to deliver on the priorities of their constituents and pass laws that protect our lives, our rights & our freedoms.
